High quality fine dining experience with carefully crafted menus with unique ingredients and dishes that tell a story

My name is Jamil Shakoor, chef and co owner of Top Tier Workshop. I’m a Johnson&Wales Culinary school graduate. I started cooking when I was 16 and have been cooking for the last 15 years. We started Top Tier Workshop in 2020 by bringing high level private dining experiences to homes. Providing not only cooking and serving food but actually elevating those intimate experiences as much as possible with drink pairings that we curate as well as cultural background knowledge for dishes and ingredients that we make. We do anywhere from 4-10 courses with drink pairings and each menu is carefully crafted for each individual event providing a much more unique and intimate experience.

My professional career started when I was 20 as a prep cook in a fine dining restaurant like most, but I have also been very driven in my career so that only lasted two weeks. So I slowly began rising through the ranks working at many different high level fine dining restaurants and learning as much as I can until I became a sous chef at 24. I took a year off during the pandemic then worked in a Japanese restaurant as a sous chef for 3 years gaining even more experience. Now currently while also running Top Tier, I am the executive sous chef at a French fine dining restaurant.
