I am a chef because I love to bring people together and my special talent is opening memories with food. I like to take people back in time with simple, delicious whole foods. I regularly cook the holiday meals for my family and we have traditions that we cherish through food. It brings us together and in doing so we get to revisit places or experiences that we may have otherwise forgotten. Plus, when everyone is sitting around a table together- it is a place of connection. Of learning. Of sharing and of opening up to each other in laughter, in joy, in sadness, in feeling- any of those things depending on the occasion. Good is the passage to love and to passion. Of course in moderation but to taste, smell, hear, and touch food, it’s ultimate bliss when shared with others.
I have worked most positions in the kitchen. Owner, cook, dishwasher. I learned that if I was going to ask someone to do something I must also be willing to do it.
