Private Chefs in Miami, FL

55 chefs serving the area · from $17/guest

Cooking in Miami means working with what's in season and what the city grew up eating. From mid-October to early May that's stone crab claws with mustard sauce. The rest of the year chefs lean on yellowtail snapper, hogfish and Key West pink shrimp, with mangoes in early summer. Cuban, Peruvian and Haitian cooking turn up on a lot of menus here, sometimes in the same dinner.

Many private dinners in Miami happen in rental homes: a bachelorette weekend in Miami Beach, a birthday in Coconut Grove, a group in town for Art Basel in December. Rental kitchens rarely have more than a couple of pans, so chefs bring their own. Condo kitchens in Brickell can be small too. Tell the chef what you're working with and they'll do more of the prep before they arrive.
